If you have forgotten your Ubuntu password, there is no way to unlock Ubuntu without a password. However, you can reset your password by booting into recovery mode. To do this, restart your computer and press the “Shift” key during boot-up. This will bring up the GRUB menu. Select the “Advanced Options” and then “Recovery Mode” option. You will then be able to reset your password using the root shell.
