1. Download the Cisco IOS software image from the Cisco Software Download page.
2. Connect the router to the network, open the command line interface (CLI), and log in to the router.
3. Enter the privileged mode by entering the enable command.
4. Type copy tftp flash: and press Enter.
5. Enter the IP address of the TFTP server and the name of the Cisco IOS software image.
6. Enter the destination filename and press Enter.
7. Wait for the IOS image to be copied to the router.
8. Enter the command show flash: and press Enter to verify that the image has been copied to the router.
9. Enter the command config t and press Enter.
10. Enter the command boot system flash: and press Enter.
11. Enter the name of the new Cisco IOS software image and press Enter.
12. Enter the command write memory and press Enter.
13. Enter the command reload and press Enter.
14. Enter y when prompted to confirm the reload.
15. Wait for the router to reboot with the new IOS image.
