In IPv6, nibble boundaries are found when subnetting by using the 64-bit prefix. The prefix is divided into two halves, with each half containing 32-bits. The first half is used to identify the network, while the second half is used to identify individual subnets within the network. The subnets are then divided into four-bit nibbles, allowing for up to 16 subnets within a single network.
