Putty software is a free and open-source terminal emulator, serial console and network file transfer application. It can be used to connect to a wide variety of network devices including computers, routers, switches and firewalls. It can also be used as an SSH (Secure Shell) client to securely access remote servers and computers. Putty allows you to securely transfer files using SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) and SCP (Secure Copy). You can also use Putty to tunnel TCP/IP connections through an SSH connection.
