A routing table is data used to route network traffic. It includes a list of network destinations and the routes between them. The data contains information like the IP address of each destination, the type of connection, the cost associated with each route, the network device it will use, the interface and subnet mask, the administrative distance, and any additional metrics needed to determine the best route.
