A Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attack is a type of attack that injects malicious code into a website, allowing an attacker to gain access to user’s personal information, such as session cookies, passwords, and other sensitive data. XSS attacks can also be used to inject malicious code into websites to redirect visitors to malicious websites, or to execute malicious code on the user’s computer.
