A Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH) is a server that hosts Windows-based programs or the entire Windows desktop for Remote Desktop Services clients. It is a role service in the Remote Desktop Services server role included with Windows Server. RDSH allows users to run programs, save files, and use network resources on a remote computer over a network connection. It also allows users to access their applications and data on multiple devices, even when they are offsite.
