A Wi–Fi encryption key is a code used to encrypt data transmitted over a wireless network. It ensures secure communication between devices that are connected to the same network, protecting the data from being accessed by unauthorized users. The encryption key is sometimes also referred to as a security key, passphrase, or wireless password.
