Cat 6 Ethernet cable is a type of twisted pair cable used in high–speed networking applications. It is made with four twisted pairs of copper wires that are shielded with an outer jacket. Cat 6 is generally capable of transmitting data at speeds up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps). This makes it a good choice for carrying large amounts of data, such as streaming media or downloading large files.
