A CMOS jumper is a tiny, removable plastic plug that connects two pins on a computer‘s motherboard to reset the CMOS (Complementary Metal–Oxide Semiconductor) settings. This can be used to clear system errors or restore a computer to its factory settings. It may also be used to enable or disable certain features of the motherboard, such as overclocking or hardware virtualization.
