A D flip-flop (sometimes called a D latch) is a type of flip-flop that is triggered by a single input, the D input. It is commonly used in synchronous circuits where it is used to store a single bit of data. The output of the flip-flop is determined by the state of the D input. When the D input is high, the output is high, and when the D input is low, the output is low.
