A datagram packet is a basic data communication method used in network protocols such as IP (Internet Protocol), UDP (User Datagram Protocol), and ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol). A datagram packet is a packet of information sent over a network. It is self-contained, meaning it contains all the necessary information for the recipient to understand it. It does not require an acknowledgment or response from the receiving end and is therefore an unreliable transmission method.
