DHCP Broadcast is a type of network message used by DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) servers to locate and configure devices on a network. DHCP broadcasts are sent out periodically by the DHCP server in order to locate any DHCP clients in the local area network (LAN). When a DHCP client receives a DHCP broadcast, it sends back a response message to the DHCP server, which then assigns the client an IP address and other configuration information.
