F connector is a type of coaxial cable connector used for radio frequency signals in cable television systems and other electronic equipment. It was invented by Mathias C.H. von Philips in the 1940s. F connectors are commonly used to connect coax–based cable TV, fiber optic cables, and other RF communication equipment. They provide an easy and reliable connection for the transmission of signals over coaxial cables.
