Nat Type on PS4 refers to the Network Address Translation (NAT) type for your console. It is used to determine the type of connection your PS4 has to the internet. There are three different NAT types on the PS4: Type 1 (Open), Type 2 (Moderate), and Type 3 (Strict). Each type affects how you can connect to other players online, with Type 1 allowing the most connection flexibility.
NAT Type is a setting on your PlayStation 4 (PS4) that determines how easily other players can connect to you for an online multiplayer game. Your NAT type falls into one of three different categories: Open, Moderate, or Strict.
