Process ID in OSPF is an arbitrary identifier used to differentiate different instances of the OSPF routing protocol. Each router on the network will have its own process ID, which can be used to differentiate between multiple running OSPF processes. The process ID does not need to match across routers, but must be unique for each router and each OSPF instance.
In OSPF, the process ID is a numerical identifier used to distinguish different OSPF processes running on the same router. Each OSPF process can have a separate process ID, which is usually configured with a number from 1 to 255.
