RAM (Random Access Memory) is a type of computer memory that can be accessed randomly, meaning any byte of memory can be accessed without having to access the preceding bytes. It is used to store data and programs while the computer is running.
ROM (Read Only Memory) is a type of non-volatile memory that can be read but not written to. It is used to store permanent information such as the computer’s startup instructions. ROM is not erased when the computer is turned off and it is also more reliable than RAM as it is not affected by power outages.
