A subnet mask chart is a chart that displays the various subnet masks that can be used to create subnets. Depending on the size of the network, the chart will show the different number of IP addresses that can be used in each subnet. It also shows the different ranges of IP addresses available within the subnets. The chart is used to help network administrators determine which subnet masks to use when setting up a network.
