URL hijacking, also known as URL redirect hijacking, is a type of cyber attack in which a malicious actor redirects a website’s traffic to a malicious website. This attack is usually done by exploiting flaws in the website’s code or by taking control of the domain name associated with the website. The malicious website may contain malware, malicious ads, or phishing scams.
