Verizon 5G is the fifth-generation wireless network of Verizon, the largest mobile carrier in the United States. It is the successor to 4G LTE and is designed to provide faster speeds, lower latency, and better reliability than previous generations of mobile networks. Verizon 5G uses mmWave technology, with extremely high-frequency radio waves that require a line of sight between the device and the 5G tower. The network is available in select cities and is expected to roll out nationwide in 2021.
