VLAN Trunking is a network protocol that allows the expansion of a single VLAN across multiple switches. It is used to divide broadcast domains in Layer 2 networks. When configured correctly, VLAN Trunking allows the transmission of multiple VLANs over a single link. It also enables the addition of VLANs to existing networks without the need for adding new switches or reconfiguring existing ones.
