The Wi–Fi Alliance is an international non–profit organization that promotes Wi–Fi technology and certifies Wi–Fi products for conformity to certain standards of interoperability. It has certified more than 40,000 products since 2000. Its main goal is to ensure that wireless local area networks (WLANs) work well together and provide a high level of interoperability and security.
