Wi–Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is a technology that enables digital devices to connect to each other and the internet, wirelessly. It works by using radio waves to transmit data between two points. Wi–Fi technology is made up of several components, the most important of which is a wireless router or access point. This device usually has several antennae which transmits data over specific radio channels. Other digital devices like laptops, phones, and tablets can pick up this signal and join the network, allowing them to access the internet and communicate with each other.
