Wi–Fi frames are part of the 802.11 protocol, which is a set of rules that govern how computers and other devices communicate over a Wi–Fi network. In a Wi–Fi frame, data is sent in layers known as Protocol Data Units (PDUs). The data is then packaged as a frame, with information about the type of frame sent, source address and destination address all contained within. When the frame reaches its destination, it will be interpreted by the receiving device and the appropriate action taken.
