Dynamic routing protocols are more beneficial to use over static routing when the network topology is regularly changing and needs to be updated quickly. This is because with static routing, manual changes need to be made to the router configurations in order to update the network topology. But with dynamic routing protocols, updates can be made dynamically and automatically without manual intervention, reducing time wastage and potential human errors. Dynamic routing protocols are also more reliable than static routing protocols if there are multiple paths to send data through because they can detect changes in quality or availability of a particular path and then route the data through an alternate available path, which static routing protocols cannot do.
