The Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) is usually found at the end of a frame in a network. It is used to detect errors in frames that may occur during transmission. The CRC is calculated by the source device, typically from the Frame Check Sequence (FCS) field of the frame. The recipient device then compares the calculated CRC with the CRC it received from the source device to determine if any errors were made during transmission.
