There is no “My Network Places“ in Windows Server 2012. Instead, the file manager is called File Explorer. To access File Explorer, open up the desktop, click the Start button, and click on File Explorer.
The Network Places feature is no longer included in Windows Server 2012. It has been replaced with the Network and Sharing Center, which provides more detailed information about the network and more options for customizing settings. You can access the Network and Sharing Center by clicking the network icon in the Taskbar.
Network Places is no longer available in Server 2012. It has been replaced with the Network item in File Explorer which shows all available network connections, including mapped drives and shared resources.
