Zoom is using a lot of CPU because it is a video conferencing software that requires a lot of processing power to handle the encoding, decoding, and streaming of video, audio, and data. Additionally, Zoom requires more CPU power as more users join a meeting, as it needs to process data and video for all participants. Lastly, if your computer is not up to date or has inadequate hardware, this will also cause your CPU to take a hit while using Zoom.
