To connect to a Wi-Fi network on Windows 8:
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
2. In the search box, type “Network and Sharing Center”.
Set up a new connection or network
3. Tap or click Network and Sharing Center.
4. Tap or click Set up a new connection or network.
5. Select Manually connect to a wireless network, and then tap or click Next.
6. Type the network name (SSID) of the wireless network into the Network name box.
7. Select the security type and encryption type for the wireless network.
8. Type the security key (network password) into the Security key box.
9. Tap or click Next.
10. If prompted, select the option to save the network so that you can easily connect to it in the future.
11. Tap or click Close.
