To connect your router to modem wirelessly, you will first need to ensure that your modem is capable of supporting a wireless connection. Once you have confirmed this, connect your modem to the Internet port on your router, then power on your router and modem. Next, open your computer’s web browser and type in the IP address for your router. This can usually be found in the user manual for your router or on the back or bottom of the device. A configuration page should appear where you can input your modem’s network name (SSID) and password, as well as choose which type of security you want to use (e.g. WPA2). Once you have finished entering all of the information, save it and restart your router. Your modem should now be connected to the router via a wireless connection.
