Your gateway address, also known as your “default gateway,” is the IP address of the router on your network. To find it, open the Command Prompt app in Windows or the Terminal app on macOS and type “ipconfig” (for Windows) or “netstat –nr” (for macOS) then press “Enter.” Look for the line labeled “Default Gateway” to find your gateway address. Alternatively, you can access your router‘s settings page and look for the “status” or “information” section. The IP address listed there is your gateway address.
