1. To connect to a wireless network, first check if your HP Desktop computer has a wireless network adapter installed. This will usually be marked with a wireless symbol such as an antenna symbol. If it does, you will need to enable the wireless adapter.
2. Next, locate the wireless router or access point that you wish to connect to. Make sure that you are within range of the access point and that it is turned on.
3. Some HP Desktop computers include a Wi–Fi button or switch that needs to be enabled in order to access a wireless network. If this is the case, press the switch or button to turn on the Wi–Fi.
4. Click the Network icon located in the system tray at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will open a list of available networks. Select your desired network and click Connect. Depending on the type of encryption used, you may be prompted to enter a security key or passphrase.
5. If the connection is successful, you will see a confirmation message. You can then access the Internet from your HP Desktop.
