1. Open the Start menu and click Control Panel.
2. Select View Network Status and Tasks under Network and Internet.
3. Click Change adapter settings in the left pane of the window.
4. Right–click Local Area Connection and select Properties.
5. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and select Properties.
6. Select Use the following IP address and enter the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.
7. Select the Use the following DNS server addresses option and assign a DNS server address.
8. Press OK to save the settings.
