1. Log into your router’s web-based setup page. This is usually done by typing the router’s IP address (192.168.1.1, usually) into your web browser.
2. Enter your username and password.
3. Look for a section labeled “wireless settings” or “wireless network settings” and click on it.
4. Find the field titled “SSID” or “network name” and type in the new name you would like to give your router.
5. Click “Save” or “Apply” to save the changes.
6. Log out of the router’s web-based setup page and disconnect any devices currently connected to the router.
7. Reconnect all of your devices to the router, using the new name you just gave it.
