1. To check your bandwidth speed in a Cisco router, first login to your router’s console by connecting it via telnet or SSH.
2. Once you have logged in, enter the command “show interface” to view the total number of bytes sent and received on each interface.
3. If you need to view more detailed information about the interface, you can use the command “show interface status” to view the current state of the interface and its associated traffic rates.
4. You can also use the “show interface counters detail” command to view specific packet counters for the interface which can help you get an idea of the type of traffic patterns taking place on it.
5. Lastly, you can take advantage of third–party network performance monitoring tools such as Cisco’s Network Performance Monitor (NPM) to view real–time bandwidth utilization stats, protocol distribution charts, and other critical performance metrics.
