1. Open the YaST Control Center by clicking the YaST icon in the top panel of your desktop.
2. Select Network Devices > Network Settings.
3. Select the Hardware tab.
4. Select the Network Card you wish to use to connect to the Internet.
5. Select the Edit button to configure the network card.
6. Enter the IP address and netmask for your network card.
7. Select the Firewall Settings tab.
8. Select the checkbox for Global Setup.
9. Select the Firewall Settings tab.
10. Enter the IP address of your router as the Gateway.
11. Select the DNS tab.
12. Enter the IP addresses of your DNS servers.
13. Select the Routing tab.
14. Select the checkbox for Activate Routing.
15. Select the Overview tab.
16. Select the Activate button to save your settings.
17. Select the Close button to close the YaST Control Center.
18. Restart the networking service by typing the following command:
sudo /etc/init.d/network restart
Your Suse Linux system should now be connected to the Internet.
