1. Connect the router to your network: Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to your modem, and the other end to the router’s Internet port.
2. Log into your router: Use a web browser to access the router’s web-based configuration page.
3. Set the router’s LAN IP address: Set the router’s LAN (Local Area Network) IP address to a value that is different from the IP address of the modem.
4. Configure the wireless settings: Set the router’s wireless network name (SSID) and passphrase.
5. Enable encryption and set the encryption type: Enable encryption and set the encryption type to WPA2-PSK (AES).
6. Set the router’s administrative password: Set a password to protect access to the router’s web-based configuration page.
7. Save your settings: Once all settings have been configured, save the configuration to the router.
