To configure a native VLAN on a Cisco router, first enter global configuration mode with the command “configure terminal”. Then, specify the VLAN ID to be used as the native VLAN with the command “interface vlan <vlan-id>”. Finally, assign the native VLAN to the interface with the command “switchport trunk native vlan <vlan-id>”.
