1. Install Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) on a server computer that is on the same network as the computer you want to join to the domain.
2. Log in to the domain controller with an account that has permissions to add computers to the domain.
3. Open the Server Manager dashboard and select the option to “Add Roles and Features”.
4. Select the option to add the role of “Active Directory Domain Services”.
5. On the computer you want to join to the domain, open the System Properties window.
6. Select the “Change” button next to the “Computer Name” field and select the option to join a domain.
7. Enter the name of the domain you want to join and click “OK”.
8. Enter the credentials of an account with permission to join the domain and click “OK”.
9. Reboot the computer to complete the domain join process.
