1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Select Network and Internet.
3. In the left pane, select Network and Sharing Center.
4. Select Change adapter settings.
5. Right–click the network connection that you want to set a manual IP address for and select Properties.
6. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
7. Select Properties.
8. Select the Use the following IP address option.
9. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway that your network administrator assigned. These values can usually be obtained from your network administrator or ISP.
10. Select the Use the following DNS server addresses option.
11. Enter the preferred and alternate DNS server addresses provided by your network administrator or ISP.
12. Click OK to save the settings.
1. Open the Network and Sharing Center.
2. Click “Change adapter settings.”
3. Right-click on your active network connection and select Properties from the menu.
4. Select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” from the list and click the Properties button.
5. Select “Use the following IP address” and enter in the desired IP address.
6. Enter in the Subnet mask.
7. Enter in the Default Gateway.
8. Enter in the Preferred DNS server.
9. Click OK to save the settings.
