1. First, make sure both computers are connected to the same router or switch.
2. On both computers, open the Network Connections window (Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections).
3. On both computers, right–click on the existing local area network connection, and select Properties.
4. In the Local Area Connection Properties window, select the Sharing tab.
5. Check the “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection” option.
6. Select the appropriate connection from the Home Networking Connection dropdown menu.
7. Click OK.
8. If the other computer has already been set up for networking, you should see the icon for the new connection in the Network Connections window.
9. Double–click the connection icon to open its properties window.
10. Enter appropriate security information if necessary.
11. Make sure the Status of the connection is Connected.
12. Right–click on the connection again and select Properties.
13. Click on the Sharing tab and select the “Allow other network users to control or disable the shared internet connection” option.
14. Click OK to save your settings.
15. Your computers should now be connected via the local area net
