1. Open the Command Prompt window.
2. Enter “telnet <IP address> <port number>” and hit Enter.
3. If the port is open, you will get a blank screen. If it is not open, you will get an error message.
4. To close the connection, press Ctrl+] and then type quit and hit Enter.
