Bus network topology is a type of network where all devices and computers connect to a central cable, known as the bus or backbone. Data is sent down the backbone cable in either direction, and each device is able to receive the data and decide if it needs to act upon it or not. This topology is usually used in small– to medium–sized networks because it is relatively simple and inexpensive to implement.
