    4. Turn on the power switch on the back of the D-Link Ethernet switch. The switch should automatically detect the connection to your router and configure itself.

    5. Check the LED lights on the front of the switch to make sure that the ports you need to use are active. If not, press the “Reset” button on the back of the switch for five seconds. The LED lights should flash, indicating that the switch is resetting itself.

    6. Test your connection by accessing the Internet with the device connected to the switch. If the connection works, your D-Link Ethernet switch is properly configured and ready to use.
